Pakistan came into being on the 14th
august 1947 and it is the only state in the world, which came
into existence on the ideology of Islam. But unfortunately Islam
as the principle law never successfully imposed just because of
the resistance of certain forces, which were mostly local. On 20th
Jan 1980 the govt. of Gen. Zia-ul-Haque announced the
application of zakat and usher ordinance in Pakistan, according
to which the zakat will be deducted from the bank accounts of
every Pakistani Muslim national. But Shias for the first time in
the history started a political blackmailing politics due to the
backing of extremist Shia Irani govt. Shias initiated this step
for the first time in the history of the sub-continent rather
Shias used to play the role of Mir Jaffar and Mir Sadiq and took
advantages from rulers. After 1979 Iranian policy makers &
strategists selected Pakistan as the prime target for imposition
of Shia revolution of the same pattern of Iranian revolution of
1979. The selection of Pakistan was due to the geo-strategic
location of Pakistan, presence of extremist Shia population and
their resourcefulness and due to its locality in the
neighborhood and its loosely guarded border with Iran so Iran
distributed a wide network of consulates and cultural centers.
Theses consulates and cultural centers (staffed by the
intelligence professionals of Iranian intelligence agencies) in
every major city of Pakistan controlled, directed, organized and
supported the Shia community by establishing a sophisticated and
most organized network. The staff of these consulate & cultural
centers controlled this sophisticated network worked through
mosques was most effective at grass root level. This network
provided shia extremist with weapons, money and clandestine
training through diplomatic channel. The training was provided
to zaireen going to Iran during their stay in Iran.
When on 20th Jan 1980, Zia announced the zakat and
usher ordinance, Irani intelligence organized the demonstrations
and bombed the govt. letters enforcing to restrict zakat
ordinance from imposition and later to show the street power and
blackmailing politics shias organized the convention on 4 & 5 of
July 1980 under the chairmanship of Mufti Jaffar Hussain on 5th
July these shias sieged the Sectriate building. This siege of
made the whole govt. machinery out of order. This siege was
accompanied by a wave of terror & destruction and above the all
it was a clear message to govt. that govt. has to bow and the
shias has ability to knock down the govt. machinery. During this
event shias used their street power in a very disciplinary way
as taught by the Iranians, which is happening even today. So
eventually govt. bowed against and organized wave of terror
arranged by Iranian backing.
