Kalimah & Azan Of The Shias
MONTAZERI, A LEADING SHI'I PRIEST OF IRAN, MADE THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT WHICH WAS PUBLISHED IN A SPECIAL SUPPLEMENT OF THE TEHRAN TIMES DATED 8TH SEPTEMBER, 1982: "TAKING THEIR POSITION BEHIND LA-ILAHA ILLALLAH, NEGATING POLYTHEISM, IDOLATRY AND EXPLOITATION IN ALL FORMS, THE MONOTHEISTS REVOLTED AGAINST INJUSTICE AND OPRESSION AND CRUELTY FROM THE TIME OF ABRAHAM TO MUHAMAD TO ALI. ABRAHAMIC MONOTHEISTIC RELIGION, MUHAMMAD'S ISLAM AND ALI'S SHI'ISM ALL ORIGINATED FROM AND ARE BASED ON A BELIEF IN ONE GOD, THAT IS NEGATION OF POLYTHEISM, IDOLATRY AND EXPLOITATION IN ALL FORMS." THE IMPLICATION IN THE ABOVE STATEMENT IS QUITE CLEAR. 'ABRAHAM'S RELIGION', 'MUHAMMAD'S ISLAM' AND ALI'S SHI'ISM, ALTHOUGH ORIGINATING FROM THE SAME SOURCE AND HAVING COMMON FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES ARE DIFFERENT RELIGIONS. WHAT EXACTLY IS 'MUHAMMAD'S ISLAM' AND WHAT IS ALI'S SHI'ISM? IBRAHIM (ALAYHIS SALAAM) AND MUHAMMAD (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM) HAVING DIFFERENT SHARIAHS IS UNDERSTANDABLE, SINCE BOTH WERE DIFFERENT NABIS IN DIFFERENT EPOCHS. BUT, IS MUHAMMAD'S (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM) RELIGION APART FROM THE RELIGION OF ALI (RADIALLAHU ANHU)? HADHRAT ALI (R.A) WAS ONE OF THE HIGHEST AMONG THE SAHAABAH. HIS DEEN WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN THE DEEN OF RASULULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM). WHY THEN DO THE SHIAH PRIESTS USE SUCH EXPRESSIONS TO CONEY THE IDEA THAT HADHRAT ALI (RADIALLAHU ANHU) WAS A NABI WITH A SEPARATE RELIGION? THE ABOVE COMMENTS OF MONTAZERI REVEALS THE ACTUAL BELIEF WHICH THE SHI'I PREISTS HOLD IN REGARD TO HADHRAT ALI (RADIALLAHU ANHU). THE UNBIASED READER WILL NOT BE SAVED FROM GAINING THE IMPRESSION THAT IN THE ABOVE-CITED COMMENTS OF THE SHI'I PRIEST, HADHRAT ALI (RADIALLAHU ANHU) HAS BEEN EQUATED WITH A NABI AND SHI'ISM DESCRIBED AS A SEPARATE RELIGION APART FROM THE ISLAM OF MUHAMMAD (SAW). AND INDEED SO IT IS. THE SHI'I BRAND OF ISLAM IS NOT THE ISLAM TAUGHT BY RASULULLAH (SAW) AND HIS ILLUSTRIOUS SAHAABAH (R.A). THE SHIAS HAVE EXCEEDED THE LIMITS OF RELIGION IN ALL RESPECTS. FOR INSTANCE IN KALIMAH AND AZAN WHICH ARE OF FUNDAMENTAL IMPORTANCE, THEY HAVE MADE THE ADDITION OF FOLLOWING WORDS: THROUGH SUCH ADDITION IN THE KALIMAH AND AZAN OF THE MUSLIMS, THE SHIA PROCLAIM THAT CALIPHATE BELONGS TO ALI WHO BEING THE FIRST CALIPH WAS OUSTED FROM THIS POSITION BY THE OTHERS (I.E. HAZRAT ABU BAKAR, UMAR & USMAN) WHO ACCORDING TO THEM ARE USURPERS. THE SHIAS, HOWEVER, HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PROVE EVEN FROM THEIR OWN BOOKS THAT THE POPHET (SAW) TAUGHT SUCH WORDS ABOUT THE CALIPHATE OF ALI IN THE KALIMAH/AZAN OR HAZRAT ALI DURING HIS CALIPHATE EVER INTRODUCED THESE THINGS. THE CHANGE IN THE KALIMAH OF ISLAM IS A VERY SERIOUS CONSPIRACY OF WHICH DUE NOTICE SHOULD BE TAKEN. IN THE SHIA TEXT BOOKS FOR ISLAMIYYAT, IT IS STATED IN EXPOSITION OF THE KALIMAH THUS:" THE RECITATION OF KALIMAH IS A PROOF OF ONE'S BELIEF IN ISLAM. BY RECITING THE KALIMAH, A KAFIR (INFIDEL) ENTERS THE FOLD OF ISLAM. IN THE KALIMAH THERE IS AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF TAWHEED AND RIASALAT AND BELIEF IN THE IMAMATE. BY TRANSLATING SUCH BELIEFS INTO ACTION, A MUSLIM BECOMES MOMIN." IT WOULD BE OBSERVED FROM IT THAT FOR BECOMING A MUSLIM AND MOMIN, IT IS DEEMED NECESSARY TO HAVE BELIEF IN THE IMAMATE. THAT IS TO SAY THAT ONE WHO DOES NOT SAY. . . . . . IS NOT A MOMIN. A MOMIN ACCORDING TO SHIA IS ONLY ONE WHO ALONG WITH TAWHEED AND RISALAT PUTS FAITH IN IMAMATE. AFTER THE KALIMAH THE ADDITION OF TENTAMOUNTS TO THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DECLARATION OF IMAMATE ALONG WITH TAWHEED & RISALAT. THE QUESTION IS THAT THE PROPHET (SAW), SAHABA, AHLE-BAIT AND THE KHULA-FA-RASHIDEEN ONLY INSISTED ON THE ACCEPTANCE OF TAWHEED AND RISALAT IN THE KALIMAH, AND THE ENTIRE UMMAH WAS UNANIMOUS OVER IT, THEN WHY THE SHIA BY MAKING ADDITIONS/ALTERATIONS IN IT OPPOSE THE PROPHET (SAW) AND ALI IN THIS REGARD? IF OPPOSITION TO THE KALIMAH IS ACCEPTED AS LAWFUL, THEN OPOSITION TO THE ENTIRE DEEN CANNOT BE DEEMED AS UNLAWFUL ON THIS ACCOUNT? THERE IS NO DENYING THE FACT THAT (O ALI, HELP) IS THE POPULAR SLOGAN WITH THE SHIAS INSTEAD OF (O ALLAH, HELP) OR (ALLAH IS GREAT). THIS SIGNIFIES THAT THEY ARE BEING PUT TO THE CARE OF ALI, AS IF ALMIGHTY ALLAH IS NOT THE CUSTODIAN OF THEIR AFFAIRS. THIS TYPE OF SHIRK (POLY-THEISM) IS BEING SPREAD FROM DOOR TO DOOR. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DECORATE THEIR DRAWING ROOMS, OFFICES, SHIPS, AND MOTER VEHICLES WITH THE NAME PLATES OF I.E. THE FIVE PURE AND GLORIFIED ENTITIES VIZ, MUHAMMAD, ALI, FATIMAH, HASAN, HUSSAIN. THIS IS SHIRK PURE AND SIMPLE BUT PEOPLE ARE NOT ACCUSTOMED TO THINK ON THESE LINES. THEY CONTINUE TO BE FED ON THE RUBBISH DISHED OUT TO THEM BY THE SHIAS IN ORDER TO WEAKEN THEIR IMAN (FAITH). A COMPAIGN OF ENLIGHTMENT IS SORELY NEEDED TO MAKE THE PEOPLE DISCARD THE UN-ISLAMIC PRACTICES OF SHIA WHICH ARE PUPULRISED UNDER THE MISLEADING LABEL OF LOVE OF AHLE-BAIT. EVEN MAULANA AHMAD RAZA KHAN, THE LEADER OF BRELAVI GROUP OF ULAMA HAS DECLARED THE SHIA AZAN AS TABARA. BUT IT IS CONTINUED TO BE TOLERATED BY THE SUNNIS AND PROPAGATED BY THE SHIA WITH ALL THE RESOURCES AND ENERGY AT THEIR COMMAND. IF QADIANIS CAN BE DECLARED KAFIRS FOR SIMILIAR REASONS, WHY SHIAS CANNOT BE BROUGHT TO BOOK ON THIS ACCOUNT? IT WAS FOR THESE REASONS THAT SHAIKH AHMAD SIRHINDI, IMAM RABBANI MUJJADID ALIF THANI, A GREAT SAVENT OF ISLAM IN INDIA, DECLARED SHIAS OUTSIDE THE PALE OF ISLAM. SIMILARLY IMAM IBN TAMIYAH IS REPORTED TO HAVE SAID ABOUT SHIAISM IN THESE WORDS: "IT IS A RETAILATORY MOVEMENT OF THE JEWS AGAINST THE PROPHETIC MISSION OF MUHAMMAD (SAW).
